The Power of a Simple Gift.
A shoe box gift is indeed very simple but has a powerful impact on a young life that lives in poverty, war-torn and natural disaster stricken countries. The shoe box gift shows the child love and gives them hope but it is also the first step in sharing God’s love with the children through “The Greatest Journey” (a new 12 week discipleship program) that Samaritan’s Purse has developed. If you haven’t packed a shoe box before, it’s very easy. Pick up a brochure at the lobby display or visit the website
www.samaritanspurse.org for instructions and suggestions of what to pack in the box. Once your box is packed, bring it back to the lobby display and we will take it from there. If you would like to know what country your shoe box goes to, make your shipping donation online at the website above, click on Follow Your Box and follow the instructions.
If you need a little inspiration, check out this short video by Matthew West
http://bcove.me/hd9t30be and listen to him explain how one shoe box is just like God's love for us. Won't you join us in helping reach all of God's children...one shoe box at a time.
