Greetings Griffin Families,
The time is nearing that I will begin my administrative position at Christ Lutheran School – the anticipation and excitement is growing each day within me! I have heard, and begun to learn, much about the great traditions at CLS. It is a beautiful school with an outstanding staff, supportive parents, and great kids. It is very evident that we are equipping the future generation of Christian leaders. It is my goal that we continue the tradition of excellence.
A few of my basic beliefs: I believe that high expectations lead to high achievement. I believe in hard work, teamwork, and going the extra mile. I believe that kids will never be more accountable than the adults who lead them. I believe it is important that students represent themselves and their school the right way, giving their personal best each day. I believe that students should be held accountable but with grace. Most of all, I believe in Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
I look forward to continuing to make CLS a warm, welcome, and friendly place; where staff, students, and parents work together as a team; and, where Christ and learning are priorities. Together, we will make a difference.
Have a safe and healthy summer….And remember, it is GREAT to be a Griffin!
In and through Him,
Steve Vandemark
